Marion E. Smith
Extreme Programmers, LLC
Marion Smith is a jack-of-all-trades programmer that has been working in this industry since 1995. He has been the owner of Extreme Programmers, LLC since 2002. He started out programming in Visual Basic 4 and stayed with that tool up to version 6. When it became apparent that Visual Basic would not become a tool that made a true executable, he started teaching himself Delphi. When Microsoft switched to the .Net Framework, he abandoned Visual Studio all together and started working with Delphi exclusively. Currently, he actively programs using a variety of languages listed below.
He is a cradle to grave programmer specializing in the iterative development process where he works closely with the end user to produce a product that the user actively helped design. He finds this technique to be quick and that clients are more satisfied with the end product. He is successful with such a development process because he has excellent personal skills that allow him to communicate development ideas and to interpret user explanations into functional needs. His greatest key to success, however, is a love of programming and the creative process. The personal satisfaction that he gains from creating a complete and productive end product gives him the patience to see a quality project through to the end.
